Hood River is about an hour’s scenic drive from Portland, Oregon, which is the closest major airport. We’ve made this trip many times and highly recommend renting a car for the most flexibility (we’ll also share a carpool list closer to the wedding). If you prefer public transportation, you can take the Amtrak from Portland to the Bingen-White Salmon station or hop on the Columbia Gorge Express bus line.
GETTING THERE
Hood River is a small town and popular destination, so we recommend booking in advance! Two favorite hotels in the area are the Historic Hood River Hotel and Lightwell Hotel and Spa. If you’re looking for anything specific, text us! We’re happy to share tips to the area.
STAYING THERE
We picked Hood River because it is one of our favorite places in the Pacific Northwest!
